Sergey Shayevich was on assignment looking for the elusive pgymy owl when he glanced upward and caught sight of this bobcat atop a towering saguaro.

Could be Sergey and the cat were searching for the same bird — notice the owl's den midway down the cactus?

The cat must have felt self-conscious with Sergey's prying eyes upon him, because seconds later he took off, with Sergey clicking away.
