Send a birthday card to the Desert Museum

image

Kids in grades 3-6 are invited to make their own birthday cards to wish the museum a happy 50th anniversary.

Cards should be sent by classroom teachers and should be no larger than 8 1/2 " x 11" so they can easily be displayed in the museum gallery.

Students may use construction paper, computer paper, tag board or other material. Crayons, color pencils, markers or paints could lend a special touch to make the card even more creative.

There will be a random drawing of birthday cards on Friday, May 10, for 15 scholarships to our weeklong childrens' Art and Natural History Summer Camp in July.

Please have your cards arrive at the museum no later than Monday, May 6. To identify the student's card, please write on the back: student's name, age, grade (3-6), school, school address, e-mail, and teacher's name.

Send your cards to: Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum Education Department, 2021 N. Kinney Road, Tucson, AZ 85743.

By the last week in May, the museum will notify students who have won camp scholarships. It will present the awards at a special ceremony on June 15.

All cards will be displayed at the museum during June and July.
