Raytheon Missile Systems will mentor a South Carolina firm under a Department of Defense-sponsored mentor-protégé program agreement to work on several Raytheon programs.
Raytheon said it will mentor UEC Electronics, a small, woman-owned business based in Hanahan, near Charleston, for three years in areas including product design, advanced electronics manufacturing, lean manufacturing, human resources and quality systems.
Under the agreement, Raytheon and UEC will work on Standard Missile-6, AIM-9X and AIM-120 missiles.
