With 2008 coming to a close and a nationwide recession recently confirmed, economists from the University of Arizona's Eller College of Management will discuss the recession, falling housing prices and budget-challenged governments.
Eller College Dean Paul R. Portney and economists Gerald J. Swanson and Marshall J. Vest will lead the discussion at the annual Economic Outlook Forecast Luncheon Friday, Dec. 12 from 11:30 to 2 p.m. at the Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa, 3800 E. Sunrise Drive.
In June, Vest and Swanson said the recession they had predicted earlier to be short and mild was actually getting worse, and recovery may take longer than expected.
The cost for the luncheon is $70 per person. Register online at eller.arizona.edu/outlook or call 626-7842.
