Former Tucson real estate agent Roy Keith Fife, 47, pleaded guilty Monday to fraud and forgery charges.
At a hearing in Pima County Superior Court, Fife admitted to forging a client's signature on loan documents to move forward with the sale of his client's property.
The forged signature made the seller's carryback loan secondary to the buyer's multi-million dollar loan. The buyers of the property then defaulted on both loans, the state's Attorney General's office said in a press release.
Fife's real estate license is inactive, and he faced unrelated real estate fraud charges in federal court.
Sentencing has not been set yet, but it will happen after his federal trial.
