Bank of Tucson adds 3 to board
Bank of Tucson has appointed three new board members:
● John Bremond, a Tucson native and longtime regional vice president of KB Home;
● Sally Fernandez, president of the Fernandez Group LLC;
● Matt Muehlebach, an attorney with the firm Hecker & Muehlebach and former University of Arizona basketball player.
Kappler is director at Hundred Palms
Thomas P. Kappler has been named the new executive director of Hundred Palms Tucson, an assisted- and independent- living community on the East Side, owner Parsons Group Inc. announced.
Kappler, a state-certified assisted-living facility manager, has nearly 20 years of experience in senior care and management in Arizona, New Mexico and California.
He was formerly executive director of Amber Lights retirement community and executive director of Prestige Assisted Living.
Kappler also served in the Flowing Wells School District for 13 years, as a classroom teacher, elementary school principal and junior high school assistant principal.
Food bank board now chaired by Liu
Marco Liu, program administrator for DES Family Assistance, has been elected chair of the Community Food Bank Board of Directors. Joining the board as co-vice chairs are Michael Dorer, senior human resources manager for Citi, and Fran McNeely, a community volunteer. Rosalva Bullock, lead research project manager for Title 1 Family Centers, will serve as secretary, and Bill Young, owner of Horseshoe Management Co., will serve as treasurer.
Sam R. Levitz, president, CEO and managing partner of Sam Levitz Furniture, has been elected to the food bank's board for a three-year term.
