Tucson Tax Service acquired by Odom
Sherri Odom, a certified public accountant and president and co-owner of Pinpointe Accounting Services PC, recently acquired Tucson Tax Service and has relocated both offices under the Pinpointe brand to a newly constructed office condo at 7341 E. Tanque Verde Road.
Odom is a 1985 graduate of the University of Arizona; her firm provides accounting and tax services to businesses, individuals and non-profit organizations.
Adams gets key job in radiology group
The Tucson-based American Board of Radiology has named John T. Adams as chief information officer.
Adams has more than 18 years of experience as an information-technology executive and most recently served as vice president for software development at Fieldstone Mortgage Co. in Columbia, Md.
He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Towson State University.
State Farm appoints Flanagan-Burnett
Julie Flanagan-Burnett has been appointed a State Farm Insurance agent at 6590 E. Tanque Verde Road.
Her father, retired State Farm agent Jerry Flanagan, was the prior agent at the location. Flanagan-Burnett worked in her father's agency for 24 years and has been a state-licensed insurance agent since 1995.
Rick named director of children's clinic
Bruce Rick has been named executive director of Square & Compass Children's Clinic, 2600 N. Wyatt Drive.
Rick holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Purdue University. He has an extensive background in computer systems operations and has directed computer operations for both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. He now represents the Tucson Sabbar Shriners on the board of governors of the Shriners Hospitals for Children in Los Angeles.
The Square & Compass Children's Clinic of Tucson helps special needs children with care in more than 25 medical specialties.
5 real-estate vets join Grubb & Ellis
Grubb & Ellis Co. hired five local commercial real-estate veterans for its first office in Tucson, at 3333 E. Speedway.
Joining Grubb & Ellis are Robert L. Davis, named senior vice president for industrial; William L. DiVito, senior vice president, industrial; Howard Kong, vice president, industrial; Scott Soelter, senior vice president, retail; and Michael Townsdin, vice president, office.
A 23-year industry veteran, Davis most recently was first vice president for CB Richard Ellis, where he had worked since 1985. He has specialized in the biotech, optics, aerospace and information-technology industries.
DiVito, previously first vice president at CB Richard Ellis, also has 23 years' experience in the industry and has been involved in sales and leasing of large manufacturing facilities in Tucson and Sonora, Mexico.
Kong was an associate at CB Richard Ellis, where he focused on high-level investment analysis and brokerage services.
Soelter spent 10 years at Bourn Partners LLC, where he most recently was a project principal and asset manager.
Townsdin also comes from Bourn, where he started in 2001 and was a member of the firm's office and medical services division.
