New CFO named at Northwest hospital
Mark Hoffman has been named chief financial officer of Northwest Medical Center Oro Valley.
Hoffman comes to the hospital from Dublin, Ireland, where he served almost four years as chief financial officer for Beacon Hospital.
At Beacon, he worked with the chief executive officer to oversee the design, construction and opening of the facility.
Once the hospital opened in November 2006, he managed hospital operations.
Housley appointed VP at Canyon Ranch
Roxanne Housley has been named Canyon Ranch corporate vice president for sales and marketing, after serving as interim vice president for marketing for the past seven months.
Housley will oversee marketing and public relations for the Tucson-based fitness resorts.
She has been with Canyon Ranch for nearly 25 years and helped build sales teams and programs at Canyon Ranch resorts in Tucson and Lenox, Mass. Housley also guided the creative sales startups of three Canyon Ranch SpaClubs and the latest Canyon Ranch hotel and residential development slated to open in Miami Beach this fall, the company said.
HR director joins Sol Casinos
Sol Casinos, the casino operation of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe, has hired Jearl Joslin as human-resources director. He is responsible for developing and maintaining human-resources processes as well as enhancing the department's organizational performance and effectiveness.
Joslin brings more than 20 years of experience to Sol Casinos, having held human-resource positions in the engineering, construction, mining and biomedical industries. He earned a bachelor's degree in business and industrial psychology from UCLA.
Foundation names development chief
Mary Lynn Johnson has been named director of development for the John P. Bell Family Foundation in Tucson.
Johnson most recently was director of social services for The Salvation Army in Tucson.
She specializes in grant management and founded her own grant-consulting company, ML Johnson & Associates LLC in 2002.
Johnson also has worked for the city of Sierra Vista as its grant administrator.
She holds a Ph.D. in human services specializing in management of non-profits from Capella University. Johnson has a bachelor's degree in business administration and management and a master's degree in organizational management from the University of Phoenix.
Promotion, new hire at The Haven
Joyce Perot has been promoted to lead case manager for The Haven, a non-profit residential treatment center for women recovering from drug and alcohol addiction.
Perot, an expert in domestic-violence prevention and treatment, came to The Haven as case manager in April 2006. She works with two other case managers to coordinate and monitor each client's treatment.
Additionally, Valerie Shestko recently joined the counseling staff of The Haven. She has worked in the behavioral-health field for 13 years, specializing in addictions counseling. She holds a bachelor's degree from Minot (N.D.) State University and a master's degree from the University of Phoenix.
