A contractor-supply business is closing in Tucson due to housing market conditions. HD Supply Plumbing/HVAC, 4571 S. Alvernon Way, will close in about a month, said Erica Crosling, spokeswoman of Atlanta-based HD Supply.

The nearby HD Supply Waterworks, which provides materials for water pipes, sewers and storm drains, will remain open. HD Supply was previously owned by Home Depot, but was sold to a private investor group in August 2007, she said.
