Research Corp. picks Souvignier
Chad W. Souvignier was promoted to director at Research Corp. Technologies. His areas of focus at RCT include oncology, pain, central nervous system disorders, diabetes and metabolic disease. Previously Souvignier was manager of international marketing in the commercial operations department at Guilford Pharmaceuticals.
Danielson joins valuation firm
Clay Danielson has joined the Tucson office of the Brueggeman & Johnson Yeanoplos PC business valuation firm. Danielson is a graduate of Sabino High School and has a bachelor of science degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance from Northern Arizona University.
Harmon named district engineer
The Arizona Department of Transportation named Bill Harmon the new Safford District engineer. Harmon replaces Ron Casper, who retired last fall and is currently serving as the interim Tucson district engineer.
PAG appoints two to posts
The Pima Association of Governments appointed Dennis Dickerson as environmental planning coordinator. He has worked more than 25 years in environmental programs and served 16 years in senior management with the California Environmental Protection Agency.
PAG also named Steffannie Koeneman public involvement specialist. She was previously editor and media relations liaison for Sierra Southwest Cooperative Services Inc.
Top pro bono attorney is Giles
Shannon Giles, partner at Quarles & Brady Streich Lang LLP, was selected by the Volunteer Lawyers Program as the outstanding pro bono attorney of the month for January. Each year, the monthly award is given to only 12 of the 1100 attorneys who volunteer with VLP. Giles focuses on the areas of commercial litigation, business torts and immigration law.
Charity names executive group
Angel Charity for Children Inc. has announced the 2006 executive committee. Nancy Davis is general chairwoman, Becky Rebenstorf is vice chairwoman, Vickie Butler is chairwoman elect, Chris Turney is corresponding secretary, Mary Jean Rhenman is recording secretary, Shari Lowell is treasurer, and Harriet Parish is assistant treasurer.
DM credit union vice president
Kathy Ramirez has joined DM Federal Credit Union as vice president of business lending and services. She has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry and spent a major part of her career at Bank One, Arizona (formerly Valley National Bank).
Also at the credit union, Rene Almazan was promoted to senior vice president of sales, and J.R. Leung was promoted to vice president and chief lending officer of loan sales.
