Don't know whom to turn to with a quickie question about buying, selling or maintaining your home? Try calling a Tucson-based advice show.
There are plenty of 'em riding the airwaves. The Jolt, KJLL (1330-AM), carries most of these brokered shows, which means the hosts pay the station for airtime. The home- advice shows hold their own on a station that has politics, news, health, legal and relationship programming.
"The shows . . . are very popular," Christopher Lidberg, the station's sales and marketing director, said via e-mail. They tend to generate a lot of listener calls, he added.
"It is true that news and politics are very important," Lidberg said, "but at the end of the day, people want beautiful and serene places to come home to."
