Tucson-based Raytheon Missile Systems said Tuesday that NetFires LLC, its joint venture with Lockheed Martin, completed the third successful guided test flight of the Raytheon-made Precision Attack Missile (PAM).
In the most recent test at White Sands Missile Range, N.M., a PAM missile launched from a container launch unit score a direct hit against a stationary T-72 tank, Raytheon said.
The test demonstrated the missile's ability to autonomously detect and find the target in an array of other vehicles, the company said.
