She is a talented jazz clarinetist, sax player and composer who was recently voted the Up and Coming Musician of the Year by the Jazz Journalists Association.
He is an accomplished trumpeter who has been touring the world since age 10 and was a finalist in the 1997 Thelonious Monk Jazz Trumpet Competition.
Together, Anat and Avishai Cohen, the sister-and-brother duo from Israel, have become a force to be reckoned with on the contemporary jazz scene.
The two will entertain audiences with their quartet Sunday night at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, 7000 N. Resort Road.
The Cohens have been playing together since they were children. They got an early start performing in their parents' living room in Tel Aviv.
"Coming from the same place, we have very similar interpretations of music," Anat told National Public Radio in 2007. "When we play together, there is some kind of telepathy going on."
The show begins at 7 p.m., and tickets are $35, with discounts available, through the society, 903-1265.
