A 73-year-old man who died Tuesday after crashing his vehicle has been identified as Larry Cencich.
Cencich, a Green Valley resident, was driving a GMC Yukon west on Continental Road near the Interstate 19 frontage road when, for an unknown reason, he drifted over the median and into eastbound traffic, according to Deputy Dawn Barkman, a Pima County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman.
His vehicle then went into a parking lot, where it struck a light pole, she said.
Cencich was taken to a hospital, where he died.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
