A 21-year-old man was killed early Saturday morning in a single-vehicle crash when his car rolled over after he lost control, police said.
Nycholas S. Yslas was killed and a passenger suffered serious injuries when Yslas' 1996 Honda coupe crashed just before 12:30 a.m. near North Stone Avenue and East Grant Road, said Officer Linda Galindo, a Tucson police spokeswoman.
According to police, Yslas was driving south on Stone Avenue at a high speed when he lost control of the car and veered off the street, Galindo said.
Yslas was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the car, she said.
He was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The passenger, whose name was not released, is in stable condition.
