1 Fraud was reported at 9:49 a.m. Aug. 25 in the 4200 block of East Pontatoc Canyon Drive. A resident told deputies the following: On Aug. 6 she was informed by an employee at Hughes Federal Credit Union that she would be issued a new debit card. The employee said her credit card and personal information had been compromised at a store where she recently made a purchase. She went on vacation but checked her bank account online. She discovered a total of $1,251.74 had been fraudulently charged to her debit card on Aug. 15.
2A 1993 Dodge Shadow was reported stolen at 8:01 a.m. Aug. 25 in the 7900 block of East Snyder Road. The owner told deputies he saw the car when he got home from Phoenix around midnight. He said he discovered the theft when he went outside to go to work.
3Larceny was reported at 3:12 p.m. Aug. 25 in the 3700 block of North Knollwood Circle. A resident told deputies a friend came over the previous night and brought four men with her. She told deputies she did not know the men. She said she discovered several items missing from the house after they left. Two digital cameras, a cell phone, three credit cards, one identification card, a DVD camcorder, $40, the keys to her parents' vehicle and 30 Hydrocodone pills were taken.
4Vandalism was reported at 12:56 p.m. Aug. 25 in the 4200 block of North Campbell Avenue. Several employees of the Far West Drilling Pump Co., told deputies someone threw a rock at a pump truck. They said the rock smashed out the windshield.
5Attempted auto theft was reported at 6:11 a.m. Aug. 25 in the 4900 block of North Kolb Road. A resident told deputies the following: She heard the alarm beep on her rental car and looked out the front window. She saw a 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser parked in her driveway with the engine running and the driver's side door open. She awakened her husband and he went outside to investigate. He confronted a man and stopped him from stealing the rented car but but was unable to stop him from driving away. According to the report, the steering column cover on the rental car was damaged. Deputies used the license plate number on the 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser and found the registered owner at a house in the 2600 block of North Winstel Boulevard. Deputies asked her about her car and she said it was parked in the driveway. But when she went outside to check, the car was gone. Deputies told her to report the car stolen to the Tucson Police Department.
