Heather Julseth has been hired as a staff accountant in the Tucson office of Regier Carr & Monroe LLP. She will be in charge of preparing income-tax returns, conducting audits and doing general accounting work.

Before her hire at Regier Carr & Monroe, Julseth, a Tucson native, was an auditor at the Defense Contract Audit Agency. She holds a master's degree in accounting from the University of Arizona.

Jan Bernardini has joined the law offices of Waterfall, Economidis, Caldwell, Hanshaw & Villamana PC. She will focus on elder law, probate and trust administration, and guardianship law.

Bernardini, a UA law graduate, is an advocacy volunteer at the Pima Council on Aging and was the 2006-07 chair of the State Bar's Probate and Trust Council. She has also been a member of the UA Foundation Professional Advisory Council and the Carondelet Health Network's Financial Health Advisory Council.

Stewart Title & Trust of Tucson announced several additions to its staff, in the offices at 3939 E. Broadway and 5650 S. 12th Ave. Joining the company are escrow officers Denise Monahan, Angela Garcia, Bill Cusick, Cheryle Gonzales, Sandra Bustamante, Denise Huggins and Sandra Blythe.

Title officers Marianne Bourdeau, Joy Martinez and Merri Jo Leon have also joined Stewart, as has marketing coordinator Trishnak Trachsel.

Alan Klein, general manager of the Westward Look Resort on the Northwest Side, was recently elected to the Arizona Hotel & Lodging Association's board of directors. The association represents 400-plus members in and related to the lodging industry. On the board, Klein joins many Tucsonans. They include Chair-Elect Brian Johnson of Loews Ventana Canyon Resort; Vice President Joe Armbrust of Marriott University Park; Lynn Ericksen of the Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Resort; Denise Georgelos of local map company El Mapa LLC; David Morgan of the Omni Tucson National Golf Resort & Spa; Bill Petrella of the Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa; and Tom Tracy of The Lodging Company.
