1 Fraud was reported at 3:07 p.m. July 16 in the 4100 block of North Via Norte Talon. A resident told deputies the fraud department at Bank of America contacted him about unauthorized charges made on his business account. He said someone wrote four fraudulent checks totaling $982.55. He told deputies he closed the account.
2 Burglary was reported at 6:40 p.m. July 15 in the 4100 block of Avenida del Cazador. A resident told deputies she found the house ransacked. The thief or thieves lifted a rear sliding glass door off the track and left the front door open. According to the report, the thief or thieves had time to go through every drawer, cabinet and cupboard in the house. Several books of personal checks, a television set with an integrated DVD player and a digital camera were taken. It was unknown if anything else had been stolen because of the condition of the house.
3 Fraud was reported at 1:30 p.m. July 15 in the 7800 block of East McGee Mountain Road. A resident told deputies the following: She fired her live-in nanny in April after she noticed her driver's license was missing. She recently discovered someone charged more than $11,000 to her AT&T Universal and Discover credit cards. Her former nanny has her personal information, and she believes that she is responsible for the fraudulent charges. She was told by employees at both credit-card companies that someone tried to change her billing address.
4 Fraud was reported at 10:32 a.m. July 15 in the 5600 block of East Circulo Terra. A resident told deputies the following: On April 10, she received a letter from a radiology company stating that two laptop computers containing patient information had been stolen from the company's office. She recently discovered a fraudulent charge of $5,000 on her Visa card. She canceled the card and was issued another one, but the new card was also compromised. Her bank gave her a third card and said it would refund the money.
5 A burglary was reported at 9:25 a.m. July 13 at Bluepoint Kitchen & Bar, 2905 E. Skyline Drive. The manager told deputies two plasma television sets were stolen from the bar. A bakery vendor said he found one of the glass double doors open at 7:40 a.m. when he made a delivery. According to the report, someone could have forced open the doors by pushing on them. The night manager told deputies he was sure he locked the doors when he closed the restaurant the previous night.
6 Criminal damage was reported at 6:43 p.m. July 12 near North Hacienda del Sol Road and North Camino Antonio. A motorist told deputies three teenage boys threw a rock at his vehicle. He said pieces of the windshield were on the dashboard, and he had minor cuts on his right hand. The man's wife was a passenger in the car. She told deputies she thought she might have a tiny glass shard in her eye and would have a doctor check it out. According to the report, the windshield was still partially intact. A second motorist told deputies a rock damaged one of her taillights. She said she saw the boys run to a nearby house. Deputies went to the house, but no one answered the door.
