What's new at the library
● Kids can make their own pet rocks, watch a lava cake explode and eat it, too, during a volcano-themed summer reading program event Saturday in Green Valley.
Megascience Meg will present the program at 2 p.m. at the Joyner-Green Valley Library, 601 N. La Cañada Drive.
Attendance is limited to 40 people. Those interested can pick up free tickets at the library's information desk as much as 30 minutes before the program starts, according to the library's Web site, www.library.pima.gov/locations/greenvalley.
