Benson-based Plant Cures Inc. is one of 23 companies allegedly touting fake cancer cures, according to the Food and Drug Administration.
Plant Cures is on a list of U.S. companies and two foreign individuals to whom the FDA has sent warning letters for what the FDA says are misleading claims on their Web sites.
Consumers and health-care professionals who have complaints associated with any of the products in question should contact MedWatch at 800-332-1088 or at www.fda.gov/medwatch/report.htm.
Chris Gussa, of Plant Cures, said via email "We never made any false claims." He added the FDA seemed most interested in links the company's Web site contained related to bloodroot.
