Earth Day is fast approaching (April 22), and these days even footwear is getting onboard with a green message.

This April, Keds is launching an eco-friendly sneaker with art reflecting the environmental impact of bottled water.

The shoes — with 100 percent organic uppers, partly recycled uppers and rubber outsoles, and printed with water-based inks — will retail for $50. And, $1 per sale goes to the Boston nonprofit charity Artists for Humanity.
