Phoenix-based Sundt Construction Inc. has been awarded a $31.5 million contract by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for the design, construction, and installation of a primary border fence along the U.S.-Mexican border at Sasabe.

The work is expected to be completed by Oct. 15. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
