A Tucson meth dealer was sentenced to 15 years in prison Monday after a series of three arrests in 2005, an official said.
Ricky Alan Cole pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, one count of possession of a firearm during a drug-trafficking crime and one count of a felon in possession of a firearm, said Wyn Hornbuckle, a spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's Office in Arizona.
Cole, 42, was arrested by Tucson police officers on Aug. 8, 2005, and on Dec. 2, 2005, after being pulled over each time for traffic violations, Hornbuckle said.
During the two arrests, police found Cole in possession of methamphetamine and driving with a suspended license, he said.
Cole was also found with a 9mm pistol during the December 2005 arrest, he said.
On Dec. 6, 2005, federal agents searched Cole's home, discovering a rifle that he had in his possession illegally due to his felony record, Hornbuckle said.
