1 Criminal damage was reported at 1:43 p.m. March 21 at Anamax Park, 17501 S. Camino de las Quintas. A town employee told police someone damaged the baseball outfield fence. According to the report, three posts were broken.
2 Suspicious activity was reported at 8:30 p.m. March 15 in the 2000 block of North Avenida Tabica. A resident told police the following: A UPS driver stopped at her house and asked for some aspirin. She invited him inside her house. She gave him a glass of water, Motrin and a cupcake. He asked her personal questions but did not make a pass at her. She called UPS and was informed that drivers are not allowed into clients' homes. She said her husband suggested she report the incident.
3 A theft was reported at 2:35 p.m. March 15 in the 18000 block of South Interstate 19 Frontage Road. A resident told police someone took an envelope containing $3,000 from his shed. He said the envelope was in an unlocked locker next to a safe. He told police he is unable to use the safe and the shed was unlocked.
4 An attempted shoplifting was reported at 2:42 p.m. March 13 at Wal-Mart, 18680 S. Nogales Highway. An employee told police another employee saw a man putting items into a toy box in the shopping cart. He said the man tried to pay for just the box when he checked out. He told police the man ran away when he said he would have to check the box. According to the report, a vacuum cleaner, a candleholder and a marker were inside the box.
5 A woman was cited on suspicion of driving under the influence and released at 10:15 p.m. March 12 on South La Cañada Drive near West El Toro Road. She was pulled over by police after she crossed the center line five times. Police gave her a courtesy ride home.
EAST SIDE
6 Malicious mischief was reported at 11:49 a.m. March 19 in the 3000 block of South Avenida Los Reyes. A resident told deputies someone knocked over a wood fence and damaged several cacti in her yard. According to the report, a vehicle went off the road and caused the damage. Deputies searched the area but did not find the vehicle.
VAIL/CORONA DE TUCSON
7 A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence at 10:47 p.m. March 19 in the 14300 block of East Colossal Cave Road after a traffic stop for reckless driving. He had watery eyes and his face was flushed. Deputies found an almost empty bottle of rum in the glove box. He was also charged on suspicion of underage drinking and driving left of center. He was released to his mother. The 20-year-old woman passenger was cited on suspicion of being a minor consuming spirituous liquor and released.
8 A theft was reported at 7:54 a.m. March 15 at a house under construction in the 14200 block of East Placita de la Zurita. According to the report, copper wires were cut and removed from the house.
9 Vandalism was reported at 1:12 p.m. March 14 in the 11700 block of South Morning Mist Place. A resident told deputies she noticed graffiti on a railroad abutment behind her house. She said someone spray painted pink letters with a blue border on the concrete abutment.
10 A burglary was reported at 12:20 p.m. March 12 in the 7300 block of South Placita de Cordorniz. A resident told deputies someone pried open his front door. A pellet gun, miscellaneous tools, jewelry, a computer, a cell phone and a charger were taken.
