You just ran a 5-miler. Er, you think. Check out MapMyRun.com to draw out your route (easier than trying to drive your car down trails) or import your GPS-tracked information for safekeeping.
The site, based on Google Maps, allows you to enter a starting address, save your route, calculate distance (it does this automatically as you draw), pace, calories burned, etc. On the right are buttons, which include "Out and Back" (helpful for saving yourself repetitive input if you're doing it manually), and "Elevation" to see how hilly your route was. (We could only view elevation prior to saving a run.)
Setting up an account is a necessity if you want to keep track of your previous paths. For information about updates to the site, check out the "News" section, which links to a blog. While the site doesn't announce that it's beta, it has a beta feel. Creators Kevin Callahan and Jeff Kalikstein respond to feedback on ways to improve the site.
