Visual arts scholarship offered at Green Fields
Green Fields Country Day School is offering a tuition scholarship to a high school student interested in the visual arts field.
The Luna Scholarship could cover up to 100 percent of the student's tuition beginning in the 2007-08 school year.
Applicants must demonstrate an aptitude in the visual arts, a commitment to academic success and demonstrate financial need.
To be eligible, applicants must submit an application for admission to Green Fields, 6000 N. Camino de la Tierra, a personal statement and letter of application, a portfolio of art work, and a financial aid assessment form.

Anti-drug lecture finale is Monday at MVHS
The last installment of "Busted: What You Need to Know About Your Child, Your School, Drugs and the Law," is Monday at Mountain View High School.
The presentation is hosted by the school's counselors, administrators, Pima County Sheriff's Department school resource officers, nurses and juvenile-probation officers.
The free event is 3 to 5 p.m. in the school's lecture hall at 3901 W. Linda Vista Blvd.
Topics of discussion include inhalant abuse, over-the-counter cold medicines and drunken driving.
Districts are searching for tech representative
The Amphitheater Public Schools district and Marana Unified School District is seeking applicants interested in serving as their district representative to the Joint Technological Education District's separate governing board.
Voters approved the JTED, which provides career, vocational and technical education to students, in last Tuesday's election.
Qualified applicants must have lived in the districts' boundaries for at least one year before their appointment on Jan. 1. Also, applicants cannot be a member of a school board and neither they nor their spouse can be employed by the JTED.
Appointed board members will receive no compensation and will serve until the next general election, at which time voters will elect members to the JTED governing board.
Amphi applicants must submit an application, a résumé and three letters of reference to the district by Nov. 28. Applications can be picked up at the district's office, 701 W. Wetmore Road, or obtained on www.amphi.com the district's Web site.
