They're baaaack.
Lobsters, that is.
The Child & Family Resources folks are planning their annual Lobster Landing, with pickup for the live crustaceans on Oct. 28.
The lobsters are a big ganga — $20 for a live one weighing a pound plus.
Can't bear the thought of plunging the poor critter into boiling water?
No bother — the chefs at the event will cook 'em on the spot for you, no extra charge. Want them cracked? That'll cost you $2.50 a lobster. Plus you miss out on all the messy fun of doing that yourself.
There will be other goodies there to purchase, too, including clam chowder, French bread, and specially priced packages that include butter and linen and all the good stuff.
You can order online now — www.childfamily resources.org — or call 881-8940.
The ordering deadline is Oct. 23, and pickup will be 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 28 at Child & Family Resources, 2800 E. Broadway, or 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. that same day at Spice Bistro, 10325 N. La Cañada Road in Oro Valley.
The lobster sale — now in its 19th year — is for a good cause: All proceeds benefit Child & Family Resources Inc.
