An early-morning fire caused about $60,000 damage to an apartment Saturday, but no one was injured.
The fire started in a first-floor apartment near East Fort Lowell Road and North Stone Avenue in the 100 block of East Mohave Road, said Tucson Fire Department Capt. Paul McDonough.
No one was home when firefighters arrived about 1:35 a.m., and no one was living in the second-floor apartment.
It took about 15 minutes to get the blaze under control, McDonough said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation Saturday.
