Candidate forum
The Saguaro Eastside Democrats will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at New Spirit Lutheran Church, 8701 E. Old Spanish Trail.
Scheduled to speak is Francine Shacter, candidate for Congressional District 8. Following Shacter will be a debate between candidates for state superintendent of public instruction Jason Williams and Slade Mead.
The organization's goal for 2006 is to present all Democratic candidates running for both state and national offices in informal sessions.
The meeting is open to the public; a $2 donation is requested to cover the cost. Call 296-9935 for more information.
TREO, C-Path at town hall
Councilwoman Carol West will host a town hall meeting from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Eastside City Hall, 7575 E. Speedway.
The meeting will feature representatives of Tucson Regional Economic Opportunities Inc. and The Critical Path Institute, two of the major economic development organizations in the community.

SAHUARITA
Friday night out
Teenagers in the seventh to 10th grades are invited to "Friday night out," 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. March 24 at the Anamax Recreation Center, 17501 S. Camino de Las Quintas.
The event is sponsored by the town of Sahuarita and the S.T.O.P. Committee, which stands for Sahuarita Team Offers Prevention.
Friday night out features air hockey, a pool table, dancing, table tennis, music and food, all in a supervised environment.
The event is free. Call the recreation center at 625-2731 for more information.

Colossal Cave Mountain Park, 16721 E. Old Spanish Trail, Vail. Park hours: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays-Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays and holidays. Park admission: $5 per car up to six passengers. Anamax Park, 17501 S. Camino de las Quintas, Sahuarita. Park hours are 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily; recreation center office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Park has a 5,000-square-foot recreation center, three lighted fields, basketball courts, a temporary off-leash dog area, covered playground area, three ramadas and several picnic areas and barbecue grills. 625-2731.
Sahuarita Lake Park, 15466 S. Rancho Sahuarita Blvd. A 15-acre lake park with grassy areas and pathways. Part of Arizona's Urban Fishing Program. No swimming allowed in the lake. The park also has several picnic areas and benches, as well as fitness equipment. 625-2731.
