Combine a love of art and a passion for food and you get the Friday Art Lunch Series sponsored by Details Art & Design.
The newly opened art gallery at 3001 E. Skyline Drive on the northeast corner of Skyline and Campbell Avenue has begun a series of art shows coupled with lunches at Soleil, an upscale restaurant in the same plaza. Each show is a limited special showing where the artist will be present to display the work. Lunch with the artist follows the show.
The series began with a behind-the-scenes look by two "Oklahoma" cast members and UApresents staff Nov. 18.
On Dec. 2, the subject will be Ornaments, featuring Sara Miles and the ornaments of Poland and Hopi artist Jerald Dawavendewa.
Vibrant Art of the Ameri-cas on Dec. 9 will feature Sherry Teachnor and the colorful art of Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean.
On Dec. 16 Handmade Art Books and Cards will be offered by Annette Geistfeld.
The series runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch cost is $25, and reservations can be made by calling 577-1995.
